Urban ReLeaf project experts take part in "brainstorming"

On May 25, 2023, within the framework of the UrbanReLeaf project, the Riga Planning Region organized a meeting with stakeholders, who work with urban development planning issues.

Through discussions and the exchange of experience and opinions, the experts identified challenges and opportunities, as well as compiled various visions on how citizen observations can complement various official measurement data and be used in the planning of higher-quality urban environments.

During the first months of project implementation, interviews were conducted with stakeholders, which helped identify barriers and opportunities related to citizen involvement in data collection and its further utilization.

The aforementioned working group was organized to obtain information that will be used in developing an inclusive citizen participation strategy for the implementation of project activities in the Riga city area, integrated with existing urban green transition plans.
